The Patrick Group of Companies, which includes our teams at Patrick Mechanical Ltd., PSL Patrick Sprack Ltd., and GCCW Limited, has proudly donated $50,000 to the Health Sciences North (HSN) Foundation. This donation will help buy essential medical equipment for patients across Northeastern Ontario.
Because many people in the region live far from major hospitals, this support means quicker diagnoses, better treatments, and stronger health outcomes close to home.
Supporting a Vital Mission
The Health Sciences North Foundation plays a critical role in advancing healthcare in Northern Ontario. It raises funds for new medical equipment, key building projects, and important research at Health Sciences North.
Today, HSN serves as the academic health centre for the region. It offers specialized care in heart health, cancer, children’s health, kidney care, trauma, and rehabilitation. Moreover, it supports 23 hospitals across Northeastern Ontario, connecting rural communities with advanced care.
Our Donation: Direct Impact for Northern Families
Thanks to the Patrick Group’s donation, real change will happen faster. Anthony Keating, President and Chief Development Officer at the HSN Foundation, said, “This generous $50,000 donation ensures our healthcare team has the tools they need to continue providing exceptional patient care, even in challenging times. It’s a gift that will have a direct and lasting impact across the north.”
Douglas Patrick, President of Patrick Mechanical Ltd., also spoke about the group’s commitment to local families.
“In appreciation of the outstanding service and tireless efforts of Health Sciences North, especially through the challenges of recent years, our companies are proud to support healthcare efforts that matter deeply to the families and communities we serve,” he said.
Investing in a Healthier Future
This contribution reflects the Patrick Group’s core values: caring for local communities, building strong infrastructure, and investing in a healthier future for Northern Ontario.
By working together, businesses and hospitals can create a stronger, more resilient region, one investment at a time.
